Early Intervention for Toddlers
The toddler years (12 months to 3 years old) are a busy and critical time in a child’s development. Research shows that early detection and treatment of delays involving communication skills can greatly improve a child’s chances of success in school and in life.
While every baby develops at a different pace, most children acquire many of the same communication skills by 18 months of age. Once a delay has been identified, it’s never too early to begin speech-language therapy with a certified speech-language pathologist. Our Mama, Papa & Me language based socialization program for toddlers and their parents or childcare givers provides an opportunity for small group interaction. Mama, Papa and Me offers developmentally appropriate activities that address play, social, language and speech skills in weekly theme-based lessons.
